Nikon D2X Review (2018)

I talk about some of the main problems (and advantages) of using the Nikon D2X in 2018. One thing I didn't mention in the video is the dynamic range. Most will find it disappointing, however it does give you a couple of stops to work with.

I picked this one up for $188 on Amazon, I was shocked Amazon had it and when I got it I was super happy. The quality is exceptional, yeah the bracelet is not that great but acceptable in its price segment, but the watch itself is great. Don't wait on this one, get a Kamasu.....you won't be disappointed.

The orient “triton”, is anything but boring. It is more unique than most divers out there. That goes for swiss , japanese, an german. It is a well built high quality watch. The only down side, is orient giving only 2 color options. This is going too be very collectible. It is one of orients best divers in their show case. I had owned it in the past. I miss it. But i own the orient star diver as of today. I will never part with it. I wish i still had my “triton”. The case back was my favorite part of the watch.

I just got mine and it is on a black NATO strap and believe it or not it only cost me twenty three dollars. I was just thinking about getting a watch and I ran across this watch and it was too good not to get it. Great watch and where it to work every day. Hope you will feel the same way I do once you get your own.

The F 100 body is a light weight Magnesium.. The EOS 3 is constructed of glass-fiber reinforced polycarbonate with aluminum inserts around the aperture area with exterior panels of rigid engineering plastic. I chose the Canon because i felt it was better overall in terms of metting, 45. Focusing area with 7 cross type as opposed to F100 5 segment focusing points closer to the center. If i werent into Canons the only other System i would be into is Nikon. Generally you cant go wrong with any of the major 35mm camera systems bottom line theres really not a whole of diffrenence, just a metter of preference and budget. They are all Good.

I have the f4 version and am disappointed with its performance. It is the first zoom that Nikon introduced at the onset of AF era, while the f4-5.6 came out 3 years later. Severasl peopel have told me that the newer lens is better optically. Build wise it has one fewer glass element. I ordered one and look forward to trying it out.

I haves the D1x. At the time of introduction, newspaper photographers shot and submitted 8X10 at 200 dpi per AP submission guidelines at the time. Color for magazines are 300 dpi. This camera shoots 8X10 at either 200 dpi or 300 dpi. That's where the resolution came from.

I moved to the F100 about 15 years ago. I liked what it offered, and did not miss what it omitted, so much that I bought a second body for storage should my primary F100 ever break. The cost of purchasing a mint condition 2nd body was far less than what any repair would cost me. For its lighter weight and less durable potential, I still consider the F100 the superior camera over the F5/F6 models for practical, non-commercial, daily use. The one fair knock on the F100 is that the latch holding the back closed is plastic in part, weak, and not that hard to break. For years, NIkon had run out of parts and repairs for this issue, which significantly devalued the body once that became well known. More recently, enterprising soles have been offering after-market repair parts for that latch, so at least it can be repaired if yours fails.
